Lane County schools release 2026 graduation times, venues

Lane County families are tracking a dense stretch of commencements as Springfield Public Schools and Eugene School District 4J move through a full slate of 2026 graduations, from small alternative programs to packed Hult Center ceremonies. The calendar gives parents one clear benefit right away: it lays out when to arrive, where to park, and which ceremonies will be shared by multiple schools.

Springfield Public Schools built its schedule to help families and friends plan, and the biggest grouping is the Commerce Family, which brings together High School of Commerce, Springfield Honors Academy, Early Career Academy at Rise, Aspire Academy and Discovery Polytech Early College High School. Commerce Family graduates at 6 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Symphony Hall, followed by Renaissance on Tuesday, June 2, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall, Putnam on Wednesday, June 3, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall and Alternative on Thursday, June 4, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall. Virtual graduates are set for Friday, June 5, at 3 p.m. online.

The Springfield lineup continues after that with Central on Monday, June 8, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall, Sci Tech on Tuesday, June 9, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall, Conservatory on Wednesday, June 10, at 6 p.m. at the Conservatory of the Arts, Duggan on Thursday, June 11, at 6 p.m. at Symphony Hall and Emergence on Friday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at a location still listed as TBD. For families trying to sort out multiple ceremonies in one week, the repeated use of Symphony Hall makes the district’s schedule easier to navigate.

In Eugene School District 4J, North Eugene High School’s Class of 2026 graduates at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Swede Johnson Stadium, 250 Silver Lane in Eugene. Churchill High School follows Monday, June 8, at 7 p.m. at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, 1 Eugene Center, and Eugene International High School graduates Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m. at the Hult Center. South Eugene High School’s commencement is Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m. in Silva Concert Hall at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, 1 Eugene Center, Eugene, OR 97401.

South Eugene’s graduation page adds the kind of details families use most. Senior Recognition and Awards Night was May 27 at 7 p.m., the last day of school for seniors is June 5, and ticket distribution began May 11 along with cap and gown pickup. Eugene International High School also requires a mandatory graduation rehearsal Wednesday, June 3, at 8:30 a.m. in the South Eugene High School auditorium, followed by an all-school farewell assembly from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and a class photo at 6 p.m. on graduation day at the stairs between the Hult Center and the Graduate Hotel.

Parking and access matter too. Eugene IHS notes free parking for the first hour in the garage at 7th and Willamette across from the Hult Center, and both South Eugene and Eugene IHS point families to accommodation request information for the venue. South Eugene’s parent-organized senior graduation party is set for 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the University of Oregon Recreation Center, a long-running tradition that will keep the night going after commencement ends. Eugene School District 4J’s Class of 2024 graduation rate was 79.0%, a reminder of how much these ceremonies mean across Lane County.
