Mount Angel Man Arrested After Threatening Spencer Butte Parkgoers With Knife
Enrique Larios, 28, allegedly swung a knife at Spencer Butte parkgoers before barricading in a portable toilet until deputies arrived.

Enrique Larios, 28, of Mount Angel, was booked into the Lane County Jail on five criminal charges after he allegedly threatened parkgoers with a knife at Spencer Butte Park on the evening of March 21, according to the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded around 7 p.m. to the park at 85300 South Willamette Street, south of Eugene, after callers reported a man lying in the roadway. When bystanders approached to check on him, Larios allegedly swung a knife and threw a bottle at them before retreating into a nearby portable toilet, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.
When deputies arrived, Larios swung the portable toilet door open and yelled at them. He was uncooperative, and deputies directed parkgoers away from the area so they could safely leave. Oregon State Police assisted at the scene.

After further investigation, Larios eventually complied with deputies and was taken into custody. He faces charges of menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second-degree criminal mischief. Jail records showed Larios remained in custody as of March 24.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
