OnPoint Credit Union Opens Fourth Lane County Branch Inside West Eugene Fred Meyer
OnPoint Credit Union opened its fourth Lane County branch today inside the West Eugene Fred Meyer on W. 11th Ave., pledging $5,000 to a local youth charity.

OnPoint Community Credit Union opened its fourth Lane County location Tuesday inside the Fred Meyer at 3333 W. 11th Ave., planting a full-service branch in one of West Eugene's busiest retail corridors.
The new branch, integrated directly into the grocery store, lets West Eugene shoppers handle checking, savings, and lending business during the same trip they pick up groceries. The W. 11th corridor serves a dense residential section of Eugene where standalone financial institutions are limited, making the in-store model a meaningful addition to the neighborhood's service options.
OnPoint's existing Lane County footprint includes a Springfield location at 650 Q St. and a Santa Clara branch at 60 Division Ave. in Eugene. The West 11th Fred Meyer opening is the fourth site in the county for the Portland-based credit union, which launched 20 Fred Meyer branches statewide in 2021 in what was then the largest expansion in its history.
To mark the opening, OnPoint pledged $5,000 to The Children's Legacy Foundation Network, a Springfield-based organization of young professionals in the Eugene-Springfield area that volunteers and fundraises on behalf of local youth. The donation follows a model the credit union has used at other openings: its Springfield Fred Meyer branch was accompanied by a $2,500 gift to Bags of Love, a nonprofit providing care packages to Lane County children in foster care.

A public grand-opening celebration is scheduled for May 9, giving the branch several weeks to complete setup and community outreach before formally welcoming members and prospective members.
For Oregon's largest credit union, the West Eugene location extends a retail banking strategy built around convenience and local investment. For the neighborhood, it means one more reason to stop at 3333 W. 11th, and a new channel for accessing financial services without crossing town.
