Three People Charged With DUII After Dexter Area Crash Into Tree
Three people who had been drinking together ended up in handcuffs on Barbre Road near Dexter after a single crash spawned two DUII investigations and a third arrest.

A single crash on a rural Dexter road shortly before 1 a.m. on March 19 produced three separate DUII arrests after Lane County Sheriff's Office deputies found themselves processing two intoxicated occupants from one vehicle and then watching a third intoxicated driver pull up in a second vehicle while they were still on scene.
Deputies responded to the 82000 block of Barbre Road after a report that a vehicle had gone off the road and struck a tree. What they found when they arrived added an unexpected wrinkle. "As the deputies arrived, they observed the involved vehicle being driven on the roadway again," LCSO Sgt. Tim Wallace said.
Deputies contacted the occupants and initially identified 22-year-old Gavin Beiderwell-Goodridge, of Dexter, as the driver. He was intoxicated. But the investigation quickly complicated matters: deputies determined that 22-year-old Emmah Elizabeth Keyser, of Springfield, had actually been behind the wheel when the vehicle left the roadway and hit the tree. Keyser was also intoxicated and taken into custody for DUII.
Before deputies had wrapped up those two investigations, 20-year-old Christian David Ramos, of Cottage Grove, drove up to the scene in a separate vehicle. He was also intoxicated. Deputies learned all three had been drinking together before the original crash. All three were arrested and charged with DUII.
The Lane County Sheriff's Office summarized the outcome with a blunt count: three DUIIs, two cars, one call.
