Inszone Insurance to Merge Trinidad Insurance Center Into Local Office
Plant LLC's Trinidad Insurance Center, at 916 Arizona Ave., will fold into Inszone's Main Street office in the coming months, the Sacramento-based insurer announced today.

Plant LLC, more commonly known as Trinidad Insurance Center, will merge into Inszone Insurance Services' existing Trinidad office in the coming months, the Sacramento-based company announced Wednesday in a Business Wire press release.
Trinidad Insurance Center has served the people of Trinidad and surrounding areas since the 1940s. The agency operates out of 916 Arizona Ave. and can be reached at 719-846-6620. It is licensed to work in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas, and holds membership in the Professional Insurance Agents of Colorado. The merger will bring those operations under the roof of Inszone's Trinidad office at 125 E. Main St.
Inszone Insurance Services was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Sacramento, California, operating as a full-service insurance brokerage firm. The company serves clients through offices across multiple states including California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
The Trinidad Insurance Center announcement is the second time in less than a year that Inszone has moved into the local market. In July 2025, Inszone acquired Chacon Insurance Service, Inc., a longstanding Trinidad provider established in 1957 by Carlos Chacon. That location now operates as Inszone's Trinidad office, formerly Chacon Insurance Service. The decision to partner with Inszone came after several years of consideration by Chacon. "I've been approached by Inszone several times over the years, but it never felt like the right moment," he said.
Chris Walters, CEO of Inszone Insurance Services, spoke to the company's intentions in the community when the Chacon deal was announced. "Their longstanding reputation, dedication to customer care, and community roots in Trinidad align with our values. We look forward to continuing and building upon the impressive legacy established by Carlos and his family," Walters said. Clients of Chacon Insurance Service were told they could expect "continued excellence in service and support, with the additional benefit of expanded insurance offerings and enhanced technological resources."
No financial terms were disclosed for the Trinidad Insurance Center transaction, and no specific completion date beyond "the coming months" was provided. Inszone's expansion across Las Animas County now spans two separate agency absorptions within roughly nine months, part of a broader national consolidation strategy that has also included agencies in Salt Lake City, Monument, Billings, and the Midwest.
