Relative Pitch returns to Main Street Live in Trinidad Saturday

Relative Pitch, the Dziekonski family trio, played Main Street Live in Trinidad at 7 p.m. Saturday, with tickets in the $11 range and online pricing listed as all-inclusive. The show gave downtown Trinidad another low-cost night out, with the venue at 131 W Main Street offering a 114-seat house built around a 28-by-23-foot thrust stage.

Tickets could be bought online, at the box office or by phone at 719-846-4765. Main Street Live lists box office hours Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and its 2025 calendar says ticket sales are general seating except for opening nights, which include some reserved seats.

Main Street Live calls itself “Entertainment for All” and says it hosts musical groups, traveling shows, festivals and events offered by local organizations and businesses. The theater also says its special events are meant to give patrons and visitors to Trinidad a wide variety of entertainment throughout the year, a mission that keeps the performance calendar active in a city where many weekend options are tied to the downtown corridor.

The trio’s return also marked a repeat booking at a familiar local stage. A Main Street Live special-events listing identified the show as Relative Pitch #2 and dated it July 25, showing the act had been programmed there before and was back for another turn in the lineup.

Main Street Live traces its roots to 2002, when Harriet and Fred Vaugeois founded it as the Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre, or SCRT. The venue says it is housed in Trinidad’s historic downtown in “The Famous” department store building, constructed in the early 1900s, placing the theater squarely on Main Street and within easy reach of nearby restaurants and businesses on a show night.
