A residential fire that started on a porch in the 600 block of Camillus Street quickly spread to two additional structures on the same property Saturday evening, injuring three people and requiring a three-hour response from four separate fire agencies.

Crews arrived just after 7 p.m. on March 21 to find the porch fully engulfed. The fire jumped to two other structures on the property before firefighters could contain it. Neighbors reported seeing tall flames and thick smoke rising from the scene across several blocks of the surrounding neighborhood.

The three people rescued from the home were transported to the hospital with injuries described as unknown. No names or conditions have been released.

Containing the blaze required a coordinated effort from the Trinidad Fire Department, Fishers Peak Fire District, Hoehne Fire Protection District, and Boncarbo/Spanish Peaks Fire Protection District. The four agencies brought the fire under control after approximately three hours.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
