Trinidad's Main Street LIVE Stages Anne of Green Gables This March

Main Street LIVE's production of Anne of Green Gables is in its final weekend, with two remaining performances at the Trinidad community theater's home at 131 W. Main Street. Tonight's 7 p.m. show and Sunday's 2 p.m. matinee close out a ten-day run that began March 6.

The production adapts the classic novel, following Anne Shirley, a redheaded orphan whose "big imagination, talent for trouble and huge heart" upend the quiet fictional town of Avonlea when she arrives at Green Gables. The show has played six performances across two weekends, with Friday and Saturday evening shows at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $18 for seniors age 60 and older, youth, and students. The Anne of Green Gables run caps a busy stretch at 131 W. Main Street. Earlier in the month, the venue hosted Relative Pitch, a family string trio featuring Tom Dziekonski on violin, Lana Dziekonski on viola and vocals, and Virginia Dziekonski on cello, joined for that February 28 concert by Trinidad's own Sami Montoya on violin. The program moved from Mozart, Schubert, Grainger, and Beethoven in the first half to contemporary pop arrangements after intermission.

Commercial Street, on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. And Dianna Morefield's ten-week Yoga: Transitions series continues Thursdays through March 12 at Mt.
