Amanda Ulee George of Helena Arrested for Alleged Murder-for-Hire Solicitation
Amanda Ulee George, 34, was arrested Feb. 14 in Helena on a felony solicitation of deliberate homicide charge; her arraignment is set for March 10, 2026.

Amanda Ulee George, 34, of Helena was arrested Feb. 14 and charged with one felony count of solicitation of deliberate homicide in Lewis and Clark County, prosecutors allege. She made an initial appearance Feb. 17 in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court, where Judge Mark Piskolich set bond at $100,000; her arraignment in state district court is scheduled for March 10, 2026.
Court documents filed in the case, including an affidavit of probable cause, say the case began after a confidential informant contacted the Helena Police Department reporting that George asked them to kill someone. According to the affidavit of probable cause, George told the informant she “had narcotics in her residence that could be used to stage the crime scene,” and that she would benefit financially from the victim’s death.

The affidavit excerpts quoted by local outlets outline an alleged plan to conceal the killing as a drug deal gone wrong. Court documents say George’s alleged plan included “hitting the victim over the head with a blunt object,” then placing pills in the victim’s hand and around the victim’s body to “make it look like a drug deal gone bad.”
Investigators obtained a search warrant to record George’s voice, and law enforcement conducted controlled phone calls between the informant and George, the documents say. During those controlled calls, the filings state George “admitted to wanting to kill the victim multiple times.” The affidavit and search-warrant language form the basis of the solicitation charge as reported by KTVH, KRTV, and the Independent Record.
The victim is not identified in court papers or local reports, and prosecutors have not released further details about the relationship between George and the alleged target. Local reporting also notes George “could face up to 100 years or life in prison upon conviction,” a potential penalty cited by KTVH in summarizing the charges.
The case remains active and developing; the next key court date is the March 10 arraignment in state district court. Journalists and members of the public seeking the charging documents or the affidavit may request filings from Lewis and Clark County court clerks to review the evidence prosecutors cited at the Feb. 17 initial appearance.
