Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Sam Bregman to Host Meet and Greet at Fuller Lodge
Sam Bregman, the 2nd Judicial District DA running for governor, brings his campaign to Fuller Lodge this Sunday, March 22.

Sam Bregman, the Bernalillo County District Attorney running for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, will hold a meet-and-greet at Fuller Lodge this Sunday, March 22, giving Los Alamos voters a direct look at the candidate before New Mexico's June primary.
Bregman entered the governor's race in April 2025, when the New Mexico Political Report reported he was joining the Democratic field as the sitting District Attorney of the 2nd Judicial District. Since then, his campaign has been in near-constant motion across the state, including a November stop at Mesalands Community College's North American Wind Research and Training Center in Tucumcari as part of his statewide "Common Sense Over Chaos" Policy Tour, which aimed to carry him to communities large and small throughout that month.
The Sunday event at Fuller Lodge, the historic log-and-stone building at the heart of Los Alamos, marks one of the campaign's more prominent stops in northern New Mexico as the primary approaches.
Bregman is running against Deb Haaland, the former U.S. representative and former secretary of the Interior. The race has grown increasingly contentious on at least one front: Bregman has been pressing Haaland to debate him ahead of the June primary, with the Santa Fe New Mexican reporting he was "turning the screws" on his rival over what he describes as her continued refusal to face him.

On the policy front, Bregman released a comprehensive Affordability Plan on December 26, 2025, framing it as a response to cost-of-living pressures for working families, seniors, and small businesses. That same day, District 1199 New Mexico announced its endorsement of Bregman for governor, citing his healthcare plan as the basis for its support.
