Los Alamos Arts Council posts February events, seeks hires and volunteers
The Los Alamos Arts Council posted a rolling February schedule on Feb. 13 that highlights a free Jubal concert Feb. 11 at Fuller Lodge and a Feb. 13 "Love Sucks?" performance with Tjett Gerdom and Jennifer Perez.

The Los Alamos Arts Council posted a rolling list of February events and opportunities on Feb. 13, 2026, laying out classes, concerts and outreach programs hosted from Fuller Lodge and community partners across town. The council, a 501(c)(3) that operates out of Fuller Lodge Art Center, 2132 Central Ave, directed readers to its events page for updates while partner posts circulated on social channels earlier in February.
One headline event is the Daytime Performance Series concert featuring Jubal, set for Wednesday, February 11 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Fuller Lodge Art Center. The concert is free and open to the public. PEEC and LAAC promotional text describes Jubal as “a western film, a stranger in a strange land, a Jack Russell terrier, and a book of songs. Taylor Kress is the writer and singer for Jubal, but the act has taken many different versions over the years. Hailing from East Tennessee, their music has its roots in the folk songs and sounds of Appalachia.” PEEC’s event listing also points to additional artist materials on Jubal’s website and notes a forthcoming single with a pre-save option.

Valentine’s week programming includes the evening performance “Love Sucks?” on February 13, promoted by Los Alamos MainStreet and LAAC partners. Los Alamos Reporter lists performers Tjett Gerdom and Jennifer Perez with accompanists and summarizes the program as “a mixture of opera and contemporary hits to celebrate Valentine’s Day.” A MainStreet Facebook post expands the billing: “operatic arrangements (from Mozart to Scriabin) followed by more contemporary songs made famous by the likes of Bob Dylan, Steven Sondhiem, and 'Weird Al' Yankovic.” That post indicated tickets remain available for the Feb. 13 show; the council’s postings do not list ticket prices or a confirmed start time.
Community drop-in and education offerings run throughout February. Santa Fe Improv and Los Alamos Little Theatre present Drop-In Improv on Wednesdays, February 4 through March 25, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, eight sessions at Fuller Lodge. The LAAC post emphasizes the presenters’ language: “Everyone is welcome to these all-level drop-in sessions! No prior improv experience necessary. Adults only.” The listing also repeats the presenters’ disclaimer: “Presented by Santa Fe Improv and Los Alamos Little Theatre. This event is not affiliated with the Los Alamos Arts Council.” The LAAC post notes the presenters’ website states they are unable to provide refunds for drop-in classes.
On Sunday, February 15 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM the longstanding Crafts & Drafts meetup returns to Bathtub Row Brewing Coop as a free, 21-plus community hour. LosAlamosReporter prints the call: “Just want to meet fellow artists? Come on down to Bathtub Row Brewing Coop on Sunday, February 15th from 4-5 PM for community favorite Crafts & Drafts. Bring your own art supplies, or we will have a tub of crafts. Free and open to the public (over 21.)”
LAAC continues adult art education and youth programming at Fuller Lodge. LosAlamosReporter lists adult classes and studio space “featuring classes on sewing, ceramics (both wheel and handbuilding), figure painting, and book binding.” After School Art Studios have returned for kids and teens, with Studio Coordinator Hannah R. and support from grants awarded by the Los Alamos Community Foundation and Anchorum Community Health. The council notes, “After School Art Studios are a fun, low-pressure way to get kids’ creative energy flowing.” It also announced new punch cards “available in sets of 3, 6, or 10” to simplify enrollment.
The council is highlighting collaborative community work as well: LAAC is partnering with the Pajarito Environmental Education Center for a Climate Café to “explore climate emotions together,” with registration routed through PEEC’s events page. An LAAC Instagram photo dated February 9, credited to the Department of Arts & Culture, also promotes the council’s long-running spring fair invite.
Although the headline referenced hiring and volunteer needs, the LAAC postings and partner social promotions captured through mid-February do not include explicit job listings, application instructions or volunteer sign-up details. The council’s events page and partner event listings remain the source for the most current program, registration and ticketing information.
