Los Alamos Board of Public Utilities Meets March 18 at Council Chambers
The Los Alamos Board of Public Utilities held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday evening at Council Chambers, 1000 Central Avenue.

The Los Alamos Board of Public Utilities convened its regular monthly session at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Council Chambers in the Municipal Building at 1000 Central Avenue, one of the board's standard third-Wednesday gatherings that typically run through 7:30 p.m. and are also accessible via Zoom.
The meeting notice appeared in the Los Alamos Daily Post on March 16. No agenda packet was made publicly available ahead of the session, consistent with how some prior BPU meetings have been handled in the county's Legistar records.
The BPU meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., a schedule the county has maintained across multiple years. County archive records show recent regular sessions stretching well past their scheduled end times: a February 2024 session ran three hours and 33 minutes, a December 2022 meeting lasted two hours and 55 minutes, and a March 2023 session clocked in at two hours and 15 minutes. Past meetings have included substantial infrastructure items, including a bid award for lift station rehabilitation at Los Arboles and North Road and a separate contract for replacing a 16-inch water transmission line along NM State Road 4, both of which came before the board at its October 2024 session.

Agendas and video recordings for past BPU meetings are archived through the county's Granicus platform, and meeting records including item filings are maintained in the county's Legistar system. Public participation is available both in person at 1000 Central Avenue and remotely via Zoom.
