PAC-8 Community Media Center Online Auction Runs Through March 31
PAC-8's online auction closes March 31, with board president Dave Schiferl matching donations dollar-for-dollar up to $600.

PAC-8 Community Media Center's spring fundraising auction is open through March 31, offering Los Alamos residents a chance to bid on donated items while supporting student scholarships and internship programs at the local public-access nonprofit that records and broadcasts government meetings and community programming.
Auction items include a Fused Glass Experience, lift tickets to Pajarito Mountain, jewelry, puzzles, and gift certificates to local restaurants. Local writer Liddie Martinez donated a box of bagged, jarred, and packaged foods she grew herself, along with her autographed cookbook.
Proceeds from the auction will fund scholarships for students, PAC-8 internships, and other programs. Board of Directors President Dave Schiferl has added a financial incentive for direct donors: he will match every donated dollar with one of his own, up to $600, meaning outright donations totaling $600 would yield $1,200 for PAC-8. The matching offer applies only to donations, not to auction bids.
To donate and qualify for Schiferl's match, contact Jean Gindreau by emailing pac8@losalamos.com or texting (505) 920-5845 during the auction period.

Bidding works through the same channels. To place a bid, email pac8@losalamos.com or text (505) 920-5845 with your name, phone number, the item you are bidding on, your bid amount, and the bidding name you want displayed. Each day of the auction, the highest bids and corresponding bidder names are posted to the PAC-8 website. To view items in person before bidding, schedule an appointment with Gindreau at pac8@losalamos.com or by calling (505) 662-7228.
Winners will be notified by email or text. Items are available for pickup at PAC-8 by appointment, and the organization accepts checks, cash, and credit cards. The auction is accessible at pac8cmc.com by clicking on the auction link.
