SALA Los Alamos Event Center published its weeklong schedule on Feb. 23, announcing films, panels, and family-friendly programming for Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico from Feb. 23 through March 1. The lineup mixes new-release screenings, a community health panel, the SALA Classics series, and a free teen movie night at the nonprofit cultural venue.

Tuesday night’s headline program is a Community Health Forum on Feb. 24 at 6:30 PM sponsored by the Los Alamos Community Foundation, the League of Women Voters, and the Ancorum Health Foundation. According to the event release, “This event brings together voices from across the community to explore challenges, innovations, and opportunities shaping the region’s health landscape,” with the session staged at SALA to focus on health and wellness in Northern New Mexico.

The cinematic slate runs Friday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 1 as SALA’s New Reels block sponsored by Casa Los Alamos. Films listed include I Can Only Imagine 2, described as still showing, and the premiere of EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. Showtimes are scheduled Friday and Saturday at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sunday at 2:00 PM; as the release cautions, “Showtimes may vary.”

Saturday, Feb. 28 features two evening options. At 6:30 PM SALA screens Sleepless in Seattle as part of its SALA Classics series, a program sponsored by Wiemann Wealth that highlights beloved films for a general audience. That same night Los Alamos JJAB sponsors Teen Movie Night from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, a free screening of Warm Bodies described as “open to teens looking for a fun, safe night out.”
