SaxAtomix Presents Winter Melodies at White Rock Senior Activity Center Feb. 25
Local sax quintet SaxAtomix will perform humorous takes on Beethoven’s Fifth and the William Tell Overture at noon Feb. 25 at the White Rock Senior Activity Center.

The SaxAtomix, an amateur saxophone quintet from the Los Alamos community, will present a free noon concert titled "Winter Melodies" at the White Rock Senior Activity Center lunch room on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. Admission is free and attendees who want the noontime meal are asked to call the White Rock Senior Center at 505-672-2034 to reserve a lunch; LARSO maintains a meal‑services sign-up page for online reservations.
According to an event notice in the Los Alamos Reporter, the program will range from Mozart to Mancini and will include humorous takes on Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and the William Tell Overture. The same notice lists Spanish, Irish, and Jazz numbers as part of the Winter Melodies lineup, reflecting a broad lunchtime repertoire intended for the White Rock Senior Center audience.
The ensemble is made up of local players Bryan Fearey, Wendy Keffeler, Adolfo Meana, Joyce Guzik and Paul Lewis. The Los Alamos Reporter and prior notices state the group has been playing together since 2017. SaxAtomix’s official site lists the Feb. 25 engagement in its calendar as "February 25, 2026 – White Rock Senior Center – Noon" and shows the group also scheduled to perform March 12, 2026 at Muy Salsas as part of a Los Alamos Community Winds Mozart Week event.

The performance is presented as part of LARSO’s lunchtime music offerings; LARSO’s event listing identifies the location specifically as the White Rock Office lunch room and asks attendees to "Please call 505-672-2034 to sign up for lunch!" LARSO’s White Rock Office is at 133 Longview Dr, White Rock, NM 87547, and the organization’s main address is 1101 Bathtub Row, Los Alamos, New Mexico 87544. Office hours for the activity center are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. For administrative questions LARSO provides an email contact at adminasst@losalamosseniorcenter.com and lists Betty Ehart’s phone as 505-662-8920.
SaxAtomix’s return to the White Rock Senior Activity Center follows prior local appearances, including a Holiday concert at noon Dec. 12 that featured seasonal selections such as Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer, You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch and Santa Baby. The Feb. 25 Winter Melodies program continues that pattern of free, community-centered noon performances at the White Rock Senior Center, offering residents a midday cultural option and another opportunity to reserve a community lunch by calling 505-672-2034.
