Spring Into Easter Vendor Market Coming to Fuller Lodge Saturday
Local artisans and food vendors filled Fuller Lodge on April 4 for the Spring Into Easter market, one of the only early-season sales events before Los Alamos's outdoor market season opens in May.

The Spring Into Easter vendor market brought local artisans, food vendors, and community organizations to Fuller Lodge in downtown Los Alamos on Saturday, April 4, filling the historic lodge at 2132 Central Ave with handcrafted goods, seasonal food items, and civic outreach timed to the Easter holiday weekend.
The mix of offerings reflected the range typical of community markets at Fuller Lodge. Vendors set up handmade crafts, seasonal food, and goods from small local businesses, while community tables gave nonprofits and civic groups space to distribute information about volunteer drives, summer youth programs, and local services. Those tables are a consistent feature of Los Alamos County market events, where civic organizations use peak-attendance gatherings to engage neighbors who might not seek them out through other channels.
Easter weekend gave the market a built-in attendance draw. Fuller Lodge anchors the Historic District at Central Avenue, steps from Ashley Pond Park and the restaurants and shops that bring residents and visitors downtown on weekends. The adjacent Fuller Lodge Art Center, which maintains a gallery and gift shop featuring work from more than 100 local and regional artists and offers classes for adults and children, reinforces the campus as a destination for anyone drawn to local craft. Families already out for the holiday found the vendor market a natural addition to a Saturday already oriented toward the neighborhood.

For local makers and food vendors in a compact mountain community with limited permanent retail space, the timing filled a real gap in the market calendar. The Los Alamos Farmers Market at Ashley Pond Park, managed by Los Alamos MainStreet, does not begin its regular Thursday season until May. December holiday markets at Fuller Lodge, also coordinated through MainStreet, occupy the opposite end of the schedule. Spring holiday weekends fall between those two anchors, making events like Spring Into Easter among the only early-season opportunities for vendors in Los Alamos and White Rock to connect with customers before the outdoor circuit resumes.
The market arrived directly ahead of a formal county vendor planning event. The Los Alamos County Community Services Department will host a Summer Vendor Meeting on Wednesday, April 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Fuller Lodge, with a virtual attendance option available. The session is open to businesses, food vendors, and artisans interested in county-organized events and will cover the vendor application process, permitting requirements, and available event opportunities for the upcoming summer season.
