Valentine's Craft Fair Saturday at Fuller Lodge 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Valentine's-themed craft fair took place Saturday at Fuller Lodge, featuring local artisans, children's craft tables and free admission at 2132 Central Ave.

Shoppers and families filled the Fuller Lodge lawn Saturday for a Valentine’s-themed arts and crafts fair that brought local makers and family activities to downtown Los Alamos. Organizers promoted hours of 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in a community Instagram post, and the site at 2132 Central Ave provided a central, walkable location for residents.
The market showcased a sample of participating vendors and small businesses. As one community write-up put it, “Our Valentine’s Market boasts an impressive array of skilled artisans such as Mariposa Body, Second Bloom Farm, Lobelia, Bettina Hehlen, Enchanted Jammery, Ana’s Sweets, Divine Palm Henna, Enchanted Ceramics, Sun & Sage Studio, Marcelle’s Designs, and more.” That list represented part of a broader roster of crafters and food artisans drawn to Fuller Lodge for the seasonal event.
Children’s programming was a visible element of the fair. “Families are welcome to attend, and children’s craft tables will be set up for them to create their own Valentine’s gifts,” community notices advised, and parents reported hands-on stations where kids could make simple cards and small keepsakes. The mix of vendors and family activities underscored the event’s role as both an economic opportunity for makers and a neighborhood gathering for residents.
The Los Alamos Arts Council frames these seasonal markets as community placemaking: “The Los Alamos Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Fairs are free for visitors and fun for all ages! Nestled on the lawn East of historic Fuller Lodge, these craft fairs are a perfect excuse to visit Los Alamos and partake in the rich arts and cultural district located downtown. Vendors travel from all over the state to sell hand-made crafts including art, food, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, decor, and more.” That description aligns with what unfolded Saturday on the Fuller Lodge lawn adjacent to the Fuller Lodge Art Center.
For residents the fair offered a concentrated chance to buy locally made goods, support small businesses such as Ana’s Sweets and Enchanted Ceramics, and use downtown public space for a low-cost family outing. The Arts Council also maintains logistical guidance for vendors that affects turnout and booth layout at these events, including 10’x10’ booth spacing and an advisory about optional third-party insurance products offered by external vendors.
Looking ahead, the Arts Council lists additional seasonal fairs on its calendar, with Spring and Summer dates slated for May 9 and August 8 next year. Registration for future craft fairs is active, and organizers say they continue to refine booth assignments and vendor guidance as the season advances. For Los Alamos residents, the recurring Fuller Lodge markets remain a predictable opportunity to shop local, introduce children to hands-on crafts, and keep downtown foot traffic moving into the cultural district.
