Voices of Alamogordo Forum Brings City Leaders to Otero Artspace April 7
Five city departments face public questions Tuesday as Voices of Alamogordo brings Dr. Stephanie Hernandez and department heads to Otero Artspace for a free 90-minute forum.

Five arms of Alamogordo city government will face direct public questions Tuesday evening when the Voices of Alamogordo forum series convenes at Otero Artspace for its latest salon-style session.
The April 7 event, running from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at 1118 Indiana Avenue, will put leaders from Parks & Recreation, Community Services, the Public Library, the Alamo Senior Center, and Alamogordo-White Sands Regional Airport in the same room as residents looking for answers. City Manager Dr. Stephanie Hernandez, who transitioned into the role from Acting City Manager, is also expected to attend alongside the department representatives. Troy Orr, the airport's manager, will speak to the regional airport's role in aviation, economic development, and connectivity.
The forum is produced by 2nd Life Media Alamogordo Town News and KALH Radio and is free and open to the public. The format keeps things informal and conversational, modeled on the salon-style discussions that have defined the series since its launch. Earlier installments drew roughly 20 residents per session and tackled topics ranging from municipal budgeting to infrastructure planning.
Otero Artspace provides the backdrop: a Pueblo Revival building constructed by the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s and later restored, now anchoring 12th Street and Indiana Avenue as one of the city's most recognizable civic gathering spaces.
The April 7 session gives residents a chance to probe current projects, service gaps, and longer-range plans across five departments that shape everyday life in Alamogordo. Attendees can expect to question leaders on senior programming, library resources, parks operations, and airport expansion alongside broader community services priorities.
