Shawano Family Dentistry Named 2025 Service Business of the Year in Keshena
Shawano Family Dentistry, led by Dr. Rebecca and Andrew Stevens, was named the Shawano Country Chamber's 2025 Service Business of the Year at a banquet in Keshena.

Shawano Family Dentistry was honored as the Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce's Service Business of the Year for 2025 at the chamber’s annual banquet held at the Menominee Casino Resort Convention Center in Keshena. The chamber presented the recognition at the event on February 26, 2026.
Dr. Rebecca Stevens, who moved to Shawano with her husband Andrew in 2022 and bought the practice from retiring dentist Ralph Horsens, accepted the award on behalf of the clinic. Newmedia-wi notes the Stevenses purchased the practice four years ago, a timeline that aligns with their 2022 relocation. Dr. Stevens described the fit with the previous owner and the community: “We were new to town, and when we were looking for a dental office, we knew we wanted to be a part of the community wherever we established a dental practice,” Stevens said. “He retired and sold the business to my husband and me. When we found Dr. Horsens and we got along very well, I knew that it was a right fit for our family.”
The nomination that led to the chamber award came from Samantha Sperberg, chairperson of SAYPro, who praised the practice’s community focus in her letter to the chamber. “Shawano Family Dentistry truly focuses on giving back, and it shines through in everything they do. From what I’ve observed, it comes down to clear communication and strong relationships both within their team and throughout the community. They prioritize a healthy, supportive work environment and are always warm and welcoming, whether you meet them in the office or out in public,” Sperberg wrote.
Community outreach was central to the chamber’s recognition. Dr. Stevens said the practice has prioritized school visits and local partnerships: “I think we’ve hit almost every school teaching about oral hygiene and how to brush.” She also noted local organizational support, saying, “We’ve worked with SAYPro (Shawano Area Young Professionals) and donated to some of their events.” The Shawano Country Chamber of Commerce profile adds that the practice has donated, sponsored and provided hands-on involvement across Shawano County.
Shawano Family Dentistry operates from 115 Alpine Court, on the second floor of the Alpine Shores building, and employs 13 full-time staff members. The chamber profile lists services including dental exams, cleanings, restorations, general and emergency dental care, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign clear orthodontic aligners, laser snore treatments and "ital sleep appliances," and says the practice is bringing in specialists and upgrading equipment to offer same-day solutions. Newmedia-wi reports the clinic will move later this year to a new building to be constructed on Shawano’s east side.
The chamber award, presented in Keshena, highlights the Stevenses’ rapid integration into Shawano since 2022 and signals a period of growth as the practice prepares to relocate and expand services while maintaining school programs and partnerships with local groups such as SAYPro.
