Two Injured Near Jacksonville Correctional Center After Vehicle Flips, Driver Cited

A crash near the Jacksonville Correctional Center sent two people to receive medical treatment Monday after one of the vehicles involved rolled over, with law enforcement citing a driver at the scene as authorities continue to investigate the cause.

The collision occurred March 31 just east of Jacksonville's residential and commercial core, on a stretch of roadway that carries institutional, commuter, and commercial traffic in and around the correctional center campus. Emergency responders were dispatched and transported both injured parties for treatment. Authorities had not indicated life-threatening injuries in the initial report.
