Checkers and Rally's opening new Pahrump restaurant on Homestead Road
Checkers and Rally’s opened on Homestead Road in Pahrump, bringing new hiring and another quick-service option to a corridor tied to the town’s growth.

Checkers and Rally’s opened a new restaurant at 2310 Homestead Rd. in Pahrump, adding another quick-service option to a corridor that has become one of the clearest signs of commercial growth in southern Nye County. The location appeared in the chain’s careers system as a team-member posting, pointing to hiring tied to the new store.
The opening matters because Pahrump is no small outpost. The unincorporated community had 44,738 residents in the 2020 census, making it one of Nevada’s larger unincorporated places, and it sits about 50 miles west of Las Vegas. Nye County counted 51,591 residents in 2020 and is estimated at 57,336 as of July 1, 2025, according to Census QuickFacts, evidence that the county’s population base has continued to expand even as growth across rural southern Nevada remains uneven.

For Checkers and Rally’s, the Pahrump site extends a Nevada push for a brand best known for Famous Seasoned Fries and the Baconzilla burger. Putting the restaurant on Homestead Road places it in the south Pahrump corridor near the California state line, where national chains have increasingly treated the town as a viable stop for commuters, travelers and local households looking for more dining choices without driving to Las Vegas.

The broader signal is larger than one menu board or one drive-thru lane. Pahrump’s draw as a retail and restaurant market has grown alongside its population, and openings like this one suggest national chains still see room for more spending power in Nye County. Whether the corridor keeps expanding will depend on the pace of future chain arrivals, but the latest addition shows that major brands are still willing to build around Pahrump’s steady growth.
