Nye County woman found and taken to hospital after search

An 84-year-old woman last seen at her Pahrump home was found and taken to a hospital for evaluation after the Nye County Sheriff's Office asked the public for help locating her.

Local social posts identified the woman as Barbara. The sheriff's office had said only that the missing woman was 84 years old and was last seen in Pahrump, where residents often see missing-person alerts spread quickly through community channels and social media.

The search came as Nye County deputies were also looking for another woman, Susan, who was last seen walking from Desert View Hospital in Pahrump. That case put one of the town's most recognizable medical facilities at the center of another missing-person response.
