NyECC job fair offers Pahrump residents face-to-face hiring chances

Pahrump job seekers will have two chances to sit down face-to-face with employers at the NyE Communities Coalition’s EmployNV job fair, a setup that looks built for hiring rather than handouts. The event will run at the NyECC Activity Center, 1020 E. Wilson Road in Pahrump, with one session from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 26, and a second from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 27.

Organizers are steering applicants to treat the fair like an interview day. Attendees are being asked to show up professionally dressed, bring several copies of their resumes and be ready to interview during the event itself. That matters in a county where workers often have fewer local hiring options than they would in Las Vegas, and where a well-run hiring fair can make the difference between a job search that stays in town and one that sends applicants far outside the valley.

NyECC is also using its own workforce programs to prep people before they walk in the door. Its Resource Room is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for resume help and updates, and the coalition says it offers resume writing, dress-for-success and job-readiness workshops, a clothing closet for interview or new-job attire, tutoring, office equipment and quarterly career fairs with a variety of employers. The EmployNV Career Hub office at the same Wilson Road address also has a computer resource room with local jobs posted every day, along with weekly Dressing for Success and Resume Writing classes.

The local value is hard to miss. EmployNV locations list NyE Communities Coalition in Pahrump as an affiliated site and place it 47.8 miles from the nearest listed Las Vegas hub, a reminder that rural job access in Nye County depends on local institutions that can connect workers to openings without a long drive. NyECC’s employment page says its hub is part of a broader network of career coaching, training resources and employment opportunities in Southern Nevada.

State workforce officials describe EmployNV as Nevada’s lead workforce development network and say its career hubs provide free help to jobseekers and businesses. The state also says EmployNV is the largest job listing website and the largest database of individuals seeking employment, which helps explain why a two-day fair in Pahrump can carry more weight than a routine community event. With no other upcoming events listed on the EmployNV Career Hub’s May 2026 calendar, the NyECC fair stands out as one of the clearest immediate hiring opportunities for residents looking for work now.
