Pahrump Hot Air Rally Returns for Valentine’s Weekend, Draws Strong Turnout
Dozens of hot-air balloons filled Petrack Park in Pahrump as PVTIMES reported thousands turned out for the three-day Valentine’s weekend festival.

Pahrump, The Hot Air Rally in the Valley returned to Petrack Park Feb. 13–15, drawing dozens of hot-air balloons and, PVTIMES reported, thousands of residents and visitors to morning launches, evening balloon glows and vendor rows. Kelli Sater, listed as lead event organizer, joined KTNV in the lead-up to the weekend to promote the three-day Valentine’s celebration.
Wrecking Ball Entertainment is credited with reviving the festival, and PVC News noted the weekend was presented by AmeriGas® - America’s Propane Company. PVC News also confirmed general admission was free while PVTIMES photographed crowds flowing through vendor lanes and family activity areas. PVTIMES wrote that the community embraced the return, and the outlet included a photo gallery captioned Up, up and away!
Everyday.Vegas supplied the most detailed schedule for festival programming. Morning balloon launches were scheduled to begin at 7:00 AM, vendor rows opened at 9:00 AM, and the event header listed hours from Feb. 13 at 6:00 AM through Feb. 15 at 5:00 PM. Evening Balloon Glows were set for 7:00 PM and described as a choreographed light show set to music. Everyday.Vegas listed the site address as 150 NV-160, Pahrump, NV 89060 and noted tethered rides and walk-through balloon envelope experiences were available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Valentine’s Day programming on Feb. 14 included a Lover’s Lane Car & Motorcycle Show at 10:00 AM and the Taste of Pahrump Garden, a 21+ tasting experience, at 11:00 AM, according to Everyday.Vegas. PVC News and PVTIMES highlighted vow renewals and on-site weddings provided by Wandering Hearts Elopements, and event listings and recaps referenced live music, DJs, bands, interactive couples contests and family games including couples’ putt-putt challenges.

Coverage emphasized the visual spectacle and community focus. The Original Report summarized the weekend this way: the Hot Air Rally in the Valley returned to Petrack Park Feb. 13–15 and drew dozens of balloons and large crowds for morning launches, evening glows, vendor rows and family activities. KTNV described the festival as “soaring back bigger than ever,” reflecting organizer promotion of a revived local tradition.
No single source published an official attendance figure or an exact count of participating balloons. PVTIMES used the term thousands to describe cumulative weekend turnout while the Original Report used dozens to describe balloon participation. Organizers and sponsors framed the festival as a family-friendly, free-admission community event that combined visual spectacle with local vendors and Valentine’s weekend programming.
