Pahrump Valley Trojans Post Personal Records, Win Relays at Dave Butler Meet
Pahrump Valley swept the top four spots in the girls' 3,200 and won 50% of events at Legacy High School on March 7.

The Pahrump Valley Trojans traveled to Legacy High School on March 7 for the Dave Butler Memorial Meet and returned with a stack of personal records, multiple relay wins and season-best times across the board, with boys and girls athletes combining to win first place in half of all events contested.
The distance runners set the tone early. Sophomore Joaquin Flores took the boys' 3,200-meter race outright in 11:19, and a Pahrump freshman whose name was not available in meet reporting finished second in 11:41, a personal record. The girls' 3,200 was even more dominant: the Trojans claimed all four of the top spots in the event, a sweep against a field that included athletes from Bonanza, Mojave and Beatty.
Brothers Antonio and Adon Veloz delivered a one-two finish in the boys' 800 meters, crossing the line in 2:05 and 2:07 respectively. Sophomore Alexis Clouser also posted a first-place finish with a personal best of 14:21, though the specific event associated with that time was not confirmed in available results.
The throws were equally productive. Junior Sonny Skinner won the boys' discus with a throw of 37.11 meters, edging out teammate junior Brendan Thorn, who landed his at 36.68 meters to take second. In the girls' discus, senior Tiler Ledford threw a personal best of 23.37 meters to win the event, while sophomore Cailyn Marsh set her own PR at 18.34 meters to finish second, giving Pahrump another one-two sweep. Senior Hunter Millinger won the shot put with a top throw of 12.62 meters, finishing roughly a full meter clear of the next competitor.

On the track, DeSantiago anchored the Trojans' 4x400 relay team to a first-place finish in 3:48, part of what the team described as a collection of season-best relay performances across the meet.
Pahrump Valley recorded over 20 top finishes at the meet in total, continuing what is shaping up as a strong early-season stretch for the program.
