Tonopah Main Street's Shamrock Walk takes over downtown this Saturday, March 14, sending participants on a four-hour Saint Patrick's Day–themed tasting crawl through local businesses before capping the night with raffles and karaoke at Tonopah Liquor Company.

Registration opens at 3 p.m. at the historic 1902 building at 113 S. Main Street and closes at 4:30 p.m. or whenever tickets run out, whichever comes first. The walk itself runs through 7 p.m., with every ticket covering all participating stops and a souvenir glass. All attendees must be 21 or older and register in person before joining the route.

Advance tickets are $15 per person, available at A-Bar-L Western Store, Tonopah Liquor Company, or online at TonopahShamrockWalk2026.eventbrite.com. Any tickets left on the day of the event go for $20 at the door, though organizers have flagged the event as a potential sell-out. There are no refunds.

"Grab your crew and stroll through town sipping, shopping and shamrockin' the afternoon away," Tonopah Main Street said in promoting the event. Festive costumes are encouraged, and the traditional warning applies: wear green or risk getting pinched.

Once the walk wraps at 7 p.m., Tonopah Liquor Company takes over as host for the after-party. The raffle and winner announcements begin at 7:30 p.m., karaoke kicks off at 8 p.m., and drink specials run all night through the 11:30 p.m. close.

The Shamrock Walk is the first of four quarterly tasting events Tonopah Main Street has scheduled for 2026. Red, White, and Booze follows on June 27, Nightmare on Main Street is set for October 17, and the Santa Crawl closes out the year on December 5.

The walk is also part of a broader push by the nonprofit to strengthen the commercial corridor. Tonopah Main Street is continuing its Storefront Improvement Grant program and leadership and customer service training in 2026, and the organization has received a grant from the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development to develop a small business incubator on Main Street, giving entrepreneurs a physical location to test business concepts in a real-world setting.
