Mount Saint Mary earned the No. 3 seed (16-9, 15-5) and will host No. 6 Sarah Lawrence (14-11, 11-9) in a Skyline quarterfinal on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in Newburgh.

Mount Saint Mary College’s women’s basketball team secured the No. 3 seed in the Skyline Conference tournament and will host No. 6 Sarah Lawrence in a quarterfinal game on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Mount Saint Mary’s Newburgh campus. Recordonline lists the Knights’ season record at 16-9 overall and 15-5 in Skyline play, while Sarah Lawrence is 14-11 overall and 11-9 in the league.
The Knights had already locked up the No. 3 seed prior to their regular-season finale, but that finale on Feb. 21 ended in a 75-64 loss at Manhattanville that snapped Mount Saint Mary’s five-game winning streak. Manhattanville’s athletics box score on Feb. 21 shows quarter scoring of Mount Saint Mary 17-19-10-18 and Manhattanville 20-21-17-17, and team statistics listing Mount Saint Mary with a .382 field-goal percentage, .300 three-point percentage, .842 free-throw percentage, 34 rebounds, 18 turnovers and 9 steals. Manhattanville’s page lists its own numbers as .530 FG, .444 3FG, .333 FT, 33 rebounds, 11 turnovers and 9 steals.
Mount Saint Mary swept Sarah Lawrence during the regular season, defeating the Short Hills program 85-58 in Newburgh on Nov. 22, 2025, and 76-60 in Bronxville on Jan. 24, 2026, records show. Those two wins set up Wednesday’s quarterfinal as a rematch, with the winner scheduled to advance to face No. 2 U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Friday, Feb. 27. U.S. Merchant Marine is listed at 21-4 overall and 18-2 in Skyline play; Manhattanville carries a 20-5 overall, 18-2 Skyline record and earned the tournament’s No. 1 seed with the Feb. 21 win.

The Skyline bracket released by Recordonline pairs No. 6 Sarah Lawrence at No. 3 Mount Saint Mary for Wednesday, and No. 5 Saint Joseph’s Patchogue (15-10, 11-9) at No. 4 Farmingdale State (14-11, 12-8) for the other quarterfinal. Semifinals are set for Friday, Feb. 27, and the championship for Sunday, March 1, with the title game to be hosted at the site of the highest remaining seed.
Tournament dates were shifted by one day because of expected weather impacts from an early-week blizzard; organizers moved quarterfinals to Feb. 25, semifinals to Feb. 27 and the finals to March 1, according to reporting in World Infonasional and Recordonline. Mount Saint Mary’s program notes and archives highlight season highs such as midseason winning streaks and senior forward Brianna Guglielmo’s recognition in November, while the campus men’s program endured a difficult season, finishing 0-16 in Skyline play and 2-23 overall, the fewest wins and conference victories for a Knights team in records dating back to 1986-87.

Wednesday’s quarterfinal in Newburgh will determine whether the Knights build on their regular-season sweep of Sarah Lawrence and advance to a semifinal trip to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Feb. 27, with a Skyline title on the line March 1 at the highest remaining seed.
