A late-night robbery on Maple Avenue left a 26-year-old Warwick resident confronting suspects armed with both a handgun and a knife, triggering a cross-county investigation that ended with two arrests at a Port Jervis home and authorities warning more suspects may still face charges.

Town of Warwick Police received the robbery report just before 1:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9, after the victim told officers he had been assaulted and threatened on Maple Avenue, also known as Route 94, in the Village of Warwick. Following that initial interview, Warwick detectives identified several suspects believed to be connected to Port Jervis.

What followed was a joint operation between the Town of Warwick Police Department and the City of Port Jervis Police Department. Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Barcelow Street in Port Jervis, where they arrested Ryan Cassidy, 18, of Sparrowbush, and Kiana Harrison, 19, of Cuddebackville. The Orange County District Attorney's Office was also involved in the investigation, and authorities credited that three-agency coordination with the swift apprehension of the suspects and preservation of evidence.

Cassidy and Harrison each face first- and second-degree robbery charges, three counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, and fourth-degree criminal facilitation. Both were arraigned in Middletown City Court. Harrison was released on her own recognizance. Cassidy was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.

Warwick Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional arrests are anticipated.
