Georgia Kay Wildung shoved her chair aside, stood up, and attacked a probation agent at the Otter Tail County Courthouse in Fergus Falls at about 3:21 p.m. on March 18, touching off a confrontation that ended with Wildung tackled near the railroad tracks south of the building.

The 25-year-old Fergus Falls woman had just provided a urinalysis at the Otter Tail County Probation office when a probation agent told her she was being taken into custody for a failed UA. According to court documents, Wildung pushed the agent against a door. A second agent opened that door from the other side, and Wildung shoved the first agent into the door frame. The agent tried to hold on but was swung around and thrown against a wall, suffering pain in her left leg and shoulder. As of Thursday, she had visible bruising, and a medical examination was scheduled to assess possible further injury.

Wildung then fled the probation office and exited the courthouse on foot. Officers located her near the railroad tracks south of the courthouse. When they approached, she ran, but was taken to the ground and arrested after covering approximately 36 yards.

Wildung was charged Friday in Otter Tail County District Court with felony fourth-degree assault of a correctional employee and misdemeanor fleeing a peace officer. The felony assault charge carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine. Wildung is being held pending further court proceedings.

All charges are allegations; Wildung has not been convicted of any offense.
