Otter Tail County Township Elections, Annual Meetings Set for March 10

Several Otter Tail County townships held elections Tuesday, March 10, wrapping up voting and moving directly into annual meetings where levy discussions and, in some cases, a review of the Perham Area EMS Joint Powers Board agreement topped the agendas.

At Leaf Lake Township, polls ran from 5 to 8 p.m. at the town hall on 49019 310th St. in Henning. Incumbent supervisor Jordan Vaughan sought another three-year term and incumbent clerk John Carlson sought a two-year term; both ran unopposed. The township's annual meeting followed at 8:15 p.m. to take up the levy.

Dead Lake Township voters cast ballots between 5 and 8 p.m. at the Dead Lake Town Hall, 36928 370th St. in Richville. Incumbent supervisor Mark Cordes and incumbent clerk Greg Swanberg also faced no opposition. The annual meeting convened at 8:10 p.m. with the levy as the sole announced discussion item.

Otto Township opened polls from 4 to 8 p.m. at its town hall at 50453 County Highway 14 in New York Mills, with an annual meeting scheduled after polls closed around 8:10 p.m. Otto's agenda included both the township levy and the Perham Area EMS agreement.

Otter Tail Township held its election at the town hall at 30274 County Hwy 55 in Ottertail, with polls open from 4 to 8 p.m. The annual meeting was set for after polls closed, with the levy on the agenda.
