Menifee County Bulldogs Rout Owsley County Softball, 16-1, Behind Macy Wells
Macy Wells reached base in all three plate appearances and scored twice, leading Menifee County to a 16-1 rout of Owsley County on Saturday.

Macy Wells made every at-bat count Saturday, reaching base in all three of her plate appearances and scoring twice as Menifee County's Bulldogs dismantled Owsley County's softball team by a final of 16-1.
The two runs Wells posted on March 28 were the most she had produced in a single game since April 2025, a personal high-water mark for the young season that underscored how efficiently the Menifee County standout operated throughout the afternoon. Her ability to get on base each time she stepped to the plate contributed directly to a Bulldogs offense that generated 16 runs and never allowed the Owls a path back into the contest.
Owsley County managed just one run in response, a margin that reflects difficulties on both sides of the ball. The Owls struggled to generate consistent offensive production against Menifee County's pitching while also failing to contain a Bulldogs lineup that took advantage of every opportunity it was given. For the coaching staff in Booneville, Saturday's result provides a clear set of priorities: shoring up pitching availability, improving run production, and tightening base-running decisions will all demand attention in the coming weeks.
Wells' performance was the kind that defines a dominant showing early in a spring schedule. Three plate appearances, three times on base, two runs scored. For Menifee County, it was the kind of individual efficiency that compounds into a blowout.
The Bulldogs now prepare to face West Carter, carrying the momentum of a convincing victory into their next scheduled matchup. Owsley County, meanwhile, will regroup and look to respond with a sharper effort as the season continues to unfold.
