Heather Hughes Opens Prime Real Estate Group in Downtown Hazard
Heather Hughes cut the ribbon on her Willie's Way brokerage Monday, capping a 15-year path from first sale to broker-owner in downtown Hazard.

Heather Hughes stood at the center of a ribbon-cutting crowd on Willie's Way Monday, March 16, flanked by family, local officials and members of the Hazard-Perry County Chamber of Commerce, marking the public debut of Prime Real Estate Group at its downtown Hazard location.
The ceremony formalized a business that has been quietly building since September 2025, when Hughes officially opened Prime Real Estate Group, though she didn't move into the Willie's Way space until January 2026. The ribbon-cutting brought together Perry County Judge-Executive Scott Alexander, who welcomed the new business and pointed to ongoing growth and opportunity in the region, alongside community leaders and business supporters.
Hughes traces her start in real estate to July 2011, and the brokerage represents the culmination of nearly 15 years in the industry. She received her broker's license in January 2022, a credential that set the stage for launching her own firm.
"I am the primary broker and owner of Prime Real Estate Group," Hughes said. "I started selling real estate in July 2011, received my broker's license in January 2022 and officially opened Prime Real Estate Group in September 2025. I didn't officially move into my Willies Way space until January 2026."

Hughes described the firm's founding purpose in direct terms, emphasizing client guidance and community investment as twin priorities.
"At Prime Real Estate Group, our mission is to empower individuals, families and businesses to make informed real estate decisions that enrich their lives and communities," she said. "We are committed to providing exceptional service and expert guidance through every step of the buying and selling process. With integrity as our foundation, we strive to build lasting relationships while contributing to the growth of the neighborhoods we serve."
Prime Real Estate Group joins a downtown Hazard commercial corridor that local officials have pointed to as a signal of continued investment in Perry County.
