3 injured in suspected road rage stabbing in Prince George's County
A fight over a company truck outside a Cabin John distribution center left one person in critical condition and two others hurt. Prince George’s police are still working to pin down what sparked the stabbing.
A dispute over how a company truck was being driven ended with three people stabbed outside a distribution center in Cabin John, leaving one person in critical condition and two others with non-life-threatening injuries.
Prince George’s County police said the stabbing was reported just before 3 p.m. on 75th Avenue, just outside the Keany Produce & Gourmet distribution center. A witness at the scene told FOX 5 DC that the confrontation appeared to begin after someone became upset about the way the truck was being driven, then escalated into a fight and stabbing.
The person who was taken to the hospital was believed to be a Keany employee, according to FOX 5 DC. Police have not released the names of the victims, and no suspect information has been made public. Investigators have also not confirmed whether the case was definitively road rage-related, even though that is how the dispute appears to have unfolded.
The incident puts a harsh spotlight on how quickly a traffic conflict can turn violent in a busy commercial corridor. 75th Avenue sits beside a workplace where drivers, delivery trucks and employees move in and out throughout the day, a setting where a tense exchange can spill over into physical confrontation in seconds.
Prince George’s County police, the fourth-largest law enforcement agency in Maryland, serves nearly 900,000 residents and business owners with more than 1,500 officers and 300 civilians. The scale of that mission underscores how a single street-level assault can ripple far beyond Cabin John, especially when it raises concerns about safety around work sites and along local driving routes.
Police have not said whether the people involved knew one another before the confrontation, how the stabbing started, or whether any weapon has been recovered. The investigation remains active as officers work to determine what happened in the moments before the violence broke out and whether charges will follow.
