Former DC Officer Charged With Sexual Assaults Across Multiple Jurisdictions

Timothy Valentin, a 30-year-old Fort Washington resident and former Metropolitan Police Department officer, faces dozens of charges tied to sexual assaults against at least 10 women across Prince George's County and Alexandria, Virginia, with crimes reported in 2024 and 2025.

Valentin, who also goes by the aliases "Rico" and "Teo," is currently in custody in Virginia on related charges. Police said at a Monday news conference they believe he abused at least four victims in Alexandria and six additional victims in Prince George's County, where charges remain pending.

According to Alexandria police, Valentin was first indicted by a grand jury in December 2025 in connection with an alleged incident involving a fourth Virginia victim. A subsequent grand jury then indicted him again Monday morning in three additional cases. That Monday indictment charges Valentin with multiple felony offenses related to three Virginia victims, though the full list of specific counts was not released in the materials available to this outlet.

Prosecutors allege that some of the attacks in Virginia involved victims Valentin had temporarily incapacitated before assaulting them and that he recorded some of those attacks.
