Prince George’s County police are asking for immediate help finding 16-year-old Jamiya Dority, who was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on April 4 in the 4400 block of Rena Road in Suitland. Investigators have classified her as a critical missing person, and police say anyone with information should call 911 or contact the department’s Missing Persons Section.

Dority, whose family says she also goes by Miya and Pinky, is described as about 5 feet tall and 152 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white crop top and black pants. By April 16, she had been missing for nearly two weeks, intensifying concern across Prince George’s County as the search remains centered on the Suitland area where she was last seen.

Family members, led by her mother, Johniece Coleman, have publicly pleaded for help bringing her home. NBC Washington reported that Coleman said Jamiya is bubbly and outgoing, loves doing hair, and loves TikTok. In a direct appeal to the public, the family said, “Jamiya, we love you; we need you to come home.”

Prince George’s County police posted a missing-teen alert on April 12, and the case has since spread across local TV coverage from WUSA9 and WJLA. Those reports matched the police description and the last known location in the 4400 block of Rena Road, underscoring how quickly a missing child case can move from a neighborhood concern to a countywide public-safety alert.

Police have not released additional details about where Dority may have gone after she was last seen. For now, the clearest public ask is simple and urgent: if anyone spots Jamiya Dority or knows where she may be, call 911 immediately and alert Prince George’s County police.
