Two days after dropping a 4-2 road decision at Forney on March 17, the Royse City Bulldogs turned the tables on the Jackrabbits with a 7-3 victory at home on March 19, improving the team's district record in 6A Region II District 10 play.

The quick turnaround gave Royse City a split in the two-game series against Forney. The Bulldogs had entered the week with a 12-3 season record heading into a mid-March stretch that included the Rockwall Yellowjackets, and the home win over Forney kept that momentum intact.

Royse City's district schedule doesn't ease up. The Bulldogs still have games remaining against Tyler Legacy, with Tyler Legacy visiting Royse City on March 24 and Royse City traveling to Tyler Legacy on March 27. Longview also appears on the horizon, with Royse City heading to Longview on April 21 and Longview returning to Royse City on April 24.

The Rockwall Yellowjackets, meanwhile, have been one of the district's stronger clubs. Rockwall entered the 2025-26 campaign posting a 4-0 district record with an overall mark of 8-8-3, scoring 110 runs against 104 allowed. The Yellowjackets hold a perfect 1.000 district winning percentage and are ranked 198th in Texas. Royse City sits just ahead of them in state rankings at 195th.

With the home split against Forney secured, Royse City now turns its attention to the Tyler Legacy road in the coming week before April district matchups begin to sort out the final standings in what has been a competitive Region II District 10 race.
