Emmanuel Innocenti’s steal-and-dunk at Chase Center swung momentum and capped a run that sent Gonzaga to a 41-29 halftime advantage, then the Bulldogs closed out an 80-59 victory over San Francisco on Wednesday night. The win pushed Gonzaga to 26-2 overall and 14-1 in the West Coast Conference, while San Francisco fell to 15-14 and 7-9 in league play.

Gonzaga shot 34-of-62 overall (54.8%) and finished with 33 rebounds, 19 assists and 11 steals while committing just seven turnovers. San Francisco managed a 34-33 rebounding edge with 20-of-56 shooting (35.7%) but could not convert that board advantage into points, finishing with 13 assists, one steal and 12 turnovers.

The opening 10 minutes were jagged for both sides; San Francisco missed 11 of its first 15 shots and committed seven turnovers in that stretch yet led 17-14 thanks to active rebounding and defense. The Dons then strung together an 11-0 run capped by Tyrone Riley IV’s 3-pointer to take a three-point lead before Gonzaga answered. Emmanuel Innocenti produced a personal 4-0 sequence with a putback layup and a fastbreak dunk, and Graham Ike hit a pull-up jumper as Gonzaga finished the stretch making 12 of 14 attempts to close the half.

Davis Fogle’s breakaway dunk punctuated Gonzaga’s strong finish to the first half and helped establish the 41-29 margin at the intermission. Mario Saint-Supery, making his first start since Dec. 21, provided a steady hand with 14 points and six assists, while Innocenti finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Graham Ike led the Bulldogs with 22 points, extending his streak to eight straight games of 20 or more points, matching Gonzaga school figures from 2006. Ike sputtered at times but rallied late, scoring nine points in the final five minutes to preserve the streak and help Gonzaga pull away; with 3:42 to play the live scoreboard read, "GU 72, USF 56: Ike called for an offensive foul at the U4 media timeout, but the Zags are well on their way to a win over San Francisco. We'll be back with a full recap at the buzzer."

Tyrone Riley IV paced San Francisco with 16 points as the Dons struggled from distance, going 5-of-24 on 3-pointers. San Francisco made 14 of 22 free throws and finished with 34 total rebounds, but turnovers and an inefficient night from the field limited scoring opportunities.

The victory extended Gonzaga’s run over San Francisco to 35 consecutive wins dating to 2012 and marked the last regular-season meeting between the programs before Gonzaga’s move to the Pac-12 in 2026-27. Gonzaga will host Pacific on Saturday; San Francisco returns home to face Santa Clara on Saturday. Mark Few has leaned on the season-long refrain that "every dog will have its day" as Gonzaga navigates the closing stretch of the WCC season with a slim lead atop the standings. Referee Deron White was listed as the official for the game.
