Keedra Gould, 21, of Farmington was arrested April 4 and charged in Farmington Magistrate Court with criminal solicitation to commit aggravated battery and tampering with evidence after Farmington police say she paid $75 via Apple Pay to arrange an assault on her boyfriend that ended with him hospitalized from a gunshot wound to the head.

The chain of events began March 22 as a domestic argument between Gould and Marcus Atcitty, according to the arrest affidavit. That dispute escalated into a physical confrontation involving Atcitty's cousin, after which Gould allegedly sent a text message stating she wanted Atcitty "suffering." Investigators say she then transferred the $75 to Shania Burke, 21, who agreed to coordinate the attack.

Burke allegedly accepted the payment and drove Shaun Henderson, 21, and others to Brookside Park, where the assault unfolded and was videotaped. Atcitty told investigators he was pistol-whipped, heard "two or three gunshots," and then "everything went black." He was treated at San Juan Regional Medical Center for fractures to his nasal bone and orbital floor and scalp lacerations.

Burke was arrested April 5 and charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated battery and tampering with evidence. She told police she did not expect firearms to be used, though she admitted one of the men had a handgun. A warrant remains active for Henderson, who faces the most serious charge: third-degree aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, along with conspiracy and tampering counts.

Both Gould and Burke face fourth-degree felonies. Their preliminary examinations are scheduled for April 15 in Farmington Magistrate Court. Henderson remains at large.
