San Juan Regional Medical Center joins Farmington health fair April 18
Families can meet San Juan Regional staff, ride the bike obstacle course and pick up health resources at Sycamore Park on April 18.

Farmington families looking for a free spring check-in on health and safety will find San Juan Regional Medical Center at Sycamore Park Community Center on April 18, where pediatric, childbirth and EMS staff will join the city’s Health and Wellness Fair. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1051 Sycamore St. and is billed as a family-friendly gathering with wellness booths, health resources and interactive activities for all ages.
The hospital is bringing some of the services that matter most in everyday life. San Juan Regional’s pediatric staff cares for patients from birth to age 18, giving parents a chance to learn where to turn for routine care, illness concerns and questions that come up as children grow. The childbirth center will also be represented, with information from OB/GYN physicians, a midwife, specially trained nurses, lactation consultants and childbirth education support for expectant parents and new families.
For residents who have relied on ambulances, the fair will also put EMS personnel face to face with the public. San Juan Regional says its EMS team provides Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support ambulance service in cooperation with San Juan County and the cities of Farmington, Aztec and Bloomfield, around the clock, every day of the year. That makes the fair a rare chance for community members to ask questions directly of the people who answer emergency calls.
The city’s event listing says this year’s fair will also include a bicycle obstacle course and sample exercise classes in partnership with F.A.S.T., and attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes. That mix of health education and movement is especially useful for families looking for low-cost ways to stay active, and for anyone trying to make better use of local health services without waiting for a crisis.
San Juan Regional describes itself as the region’s largest healthcare provider in the Four Corners area and a Level III Trauma Center, a reminder of how much the hospital touches daily life well beyond its own campus. The hospital has taken part in Sycamore Park health fairs before, including a 2016 event featuring its midwives and a 2025 fair that drew more than 25 vendor booths. The April 18 gathering continues that same approach, putting practical care, prevention and emergency information in one free stop for San Juan County residents.
