Dads and daughters danced at the Farmington Civic Center Feb. 21 under a Sombreros & Sequins theme; tickets were $10 and had to be purchased in advance.
Sycamore Park Community Center hosted its annual Daddy Daughter Ball Saturday at the Farmington Civic Center, 200 Arrington St., bringing fathers, father figures and daughters together for a three-hour evening of dancing, complimentary photos and themed activities. Doors opened at 5:00 p.m. for pictures and the program ran from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tickets were sold in advance at $10 per person; registration was handled online through FarmingtonNM.gov/register under Special Trips & Events and the city page warned that “This is a sellout event, so get your tickets early!” Sycamore Park Community Center’s Instagram post announced ticket sales began January 1, 2026 with the caption excerpt: “Sycamore Park Community Center | 🎟️ Tickets go on sale today, January 1, 2026, for the Daddy Daughter Ball! This long-standing and beloved”.
Programming at the Civic Center included dancing, refreshments and on-site portrait opportunities. Promotional copy for the event invited attendees to “Show the young lady in your life just how important she is by inviting her to a special evening at the Farmington Civic Center,” and noted that “The early evening will be full of dancing, refreshments, complimentary photos, and something special for the ladies.” The event was described as open to “fathers, father figures and daughters.”
Organizers staged the ball around this year’s Sombreros & Sequins motif; the event page listed the theme explicitly, “The theme this year is Sombreros & Sequins. Color Scheme: Pink, Purple, Teal, Lime Green.” City-provided photography accompanied event notices and carried the credit “Courtesy City of Farmington.”

For questions or registration help, Sycamore Park Community Center listed a contact phone number: (505) 566-2480. The Farmington Civic Center address for the event remained 200 Arrington St., Farmington.
Note: the Sycamore Park Community Center that produced this event is the City of Farmington program; it should not be confused with the Sycamore Park District Community Center in Sycamore, Illinois, which uses a different calendar, address (480 S. Airport Road) and phone number (815-895-3365) for its programming. Sycamore Park Community Center organizers in Farmington identify the Daddy Daughter Ball as an annual, long-standing event and advised early ticket purchase for future editions.
