Rio Rancho Arrest Log: Dozens Booked on DWI, Drug, Domestic Charges

Dozens of people were booked on charges spanning DWI, drug possession, domestic violence, aggravated DWI, weapons offenses, and burglary across Rio Rancho during the first week of March, according to arrest records covering March 1 through 7.

The weekly log, published March 17 by the Rio Rancho Observer, captures a cross-section of law enforcement activity in and around the city. DWI and aggravated DWI charges appeared among the most common in the log, consistent with the types of offenses that regularly drive Sandoval County's arrest totals. Drug possession charges, domestic violence arrests, weapon offenses, and burglary rounded out the week's bookings.

The Observer publishes these rollups weekly, giving residents a recurring window into local law enforcement activity that might otherwise go unnoticed between major crime reports. The March 1–7 log reflects arrests made in and around Rio Rancho, meaning some individuals booked during that period may have been taken into custody by the Rio Rancho Police Department, the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office, or state law enforcement operating in the area.
