Sandoval County Clerk Announces Early Voting Locations, Hours for 2026 Primary
County Clerk Anne Brady-Romero has posted official early voting sites and hours for the June 2 primary, with same-day registration available at all locations.

County Clerk Anne Brady-Romero formally declared early voting locations and hours of operation for the 2026 Primary Election in an official notice published March 4, invoking her authority under New Mexico election law to put Sandoval County voters on notice ahead of the June 2 ballot.
The declaration cites NMSA 1978, Section 1-6-5.7, with Brady-Romero stating directly: "Pursuant to NMSA 1978, Section 1-6-5.7 Election Law of the State of New Mexico, I, Anne Brady-Romero, County Clerk of the County of Sandoval, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby issue a notice of EARLY VOTING LOCATIONS and HOURS OF OPERATION for the 2026 Primary Election." The specific site addresses and daily hours are listed in the official county PDF available through the Sandoval County Clerk's Office and at NMVote.org.
One feature that distinguishes New Mexico's early voting system is the same-day registration option. "Same Day Registration is available at the County Clerk's office beginning 28 days prior to an election, as well as all early voting sites within the County," the notice states. Anyone registering at an early voting location must have a Sandoval County residential address. The notice advises voters to bring a picture ID and proof of residency, citing a utility statement or bank statement as acceptable examples.
Voters who prefer to cast a ballot by mail face no additional hoops. New Mexico requires no excuse to vote absentee, and applications can be submitted to the County Clerk's Office, after which a ballot is mailed to the applicant. Completed absentee ballots must reach the County Clerk's Office or any Election Day polling location by 7:00 p.m. on June 2. Voters who want to track their ballot can check its status or contact the Clerk's Office directly if it does not arrive.

The state has also built accessibility into its absentee process. New Mexico designed its absentee ballots so that visually impaired voters can use screen reader technology to mark them independently. Those voters receive a ballot link by email and a separate official return envelope by mail, which must be used to send the completed ballot back.
Voters who want an automatic mail ballot for every statewide election going forward can opt into the permanent absentee list through the county clerk, avoiding the need to request one each cycle.
For Sandoval County voters unsure which site is closest, the county website includes a location tool. The New Mexico Secretary of State's Office can also be reached toll-free at 1-800-477-3632, or in person at New Mexico Capitol Annex North, 325 Don Gaspar, Suite 300, in Santa Fe, weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The most direct source for specific site names, addresses, and hours remains the official county notice at NMVote.org or through the Sandoval County Clerk's Office.
