Storehouse New Mexico's 6th annual Hot Rods for Hunger car show rolls back to Albuquerque on June 6, bringing together car clubs, volunteers, and two corporate partners in a family-friendly push to put food on local tables.

The show will feature everything from classic cars and hot rods to low riders and custom builds, with awards across a variety of categories, prizes, food trucks, and activities for all ages. A raffle and a kid's zone round out the lineup, making it a full day for families.

Storehouse New Mexico is partnering with BMO and Subaru New Mexico to help drive out hunger for local families. The Subaru NM car club is helping coordinate the car show, though all makes and models are welcome.

The need is real. Storehouse New Mexico is one of the state's largest food pantries, with a mission of fighting hunger in the community that stretches back more than 50 years. New Mexico ranks among the worst in the nation for hunger, for both children and adults, and in 2025 the pantry was able to feed over 78,000 people who turned to it for food. Every dollar donated to the Storehouse provides five meals to locals in need.

Past editions of Hot Rods for Hunger have drawn large crowds to the Albertsons parking lot at Eubank and Candelaria, with nearly 200 cars, trucks, and motorcycles on site. No venue has been confirmed for the June 6 event.

Early vehicle registration is $20. Registration for the event can be done online, and sponsorship opportunities are also available. More information is available at StorehouseNM.org.
