Orlando Stadiums Included in U.S. Bid for 2031 Women’s World Cup
On November 28, 2025 the Greater Orlando Sports Commission announced that Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium were included in U.S. Soccer's official bid book submitted to FIFA for the joint U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica and Jamaica bid to host the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The inclusion boosts Seminole County's profile for international sports tourism and comes as Camping World Stadium prepares for a reported $400 million improvement project, increasing the region's chance to capture visitor spending and related economic activity.

The Greater Orlando Sports Commission confirmed on November 28, 2025 that two local venues, Camping World Stadium and Inter&Co Stadium, were listed in U.S. Soccer's official bid book for the joint 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup bid. Inclusion in the bid book does not guarantee match assignments, but it signals that the venues meet preliminary criteria and will be considered as the United States and its partners assemble a host schedule for what would be a major international sports event.
Camping World Stadium has hosted numerous major soccer matches in recent years and is slated for a reported $400 million improvement project due to begin in December 2025. Those upgrades are intended to modernize facilities and increase capacity and amenities, making the venue more competitive for high profile international fixtures. Inter&Co Stadium also appears in the bid materials, positioning the Greater Orlando area as a multi venue option for tournament organizers.

Local economic implications center on sports tourism. Hosting World Cup matches typically brings concentrated visitor spending on hotels, restaurants, transportation and retail. For Seminole County this could mean higher hotel occupancy on match dates, additional demand for local services, and incremental tax revenue for city and county coffers. The Chamber emphasized the potential tourism benefits and noted that regional venues are competitive assets in attracting international events, a message aimed at leveraging recent and planned capital investment into measurable economic returns.
Winning matches or hosting fan events would also create short term hiring needs in hospitality and security, and longer term benefits from increased exposure for area sports facilities. The bid now moves through international review and site evaluation phases before FIFA announces host stadium allocations. For Seminole County residents the immediate effect will be heightened attention on facility upgrades, planning for transportation and event services, and the prospect of larger visitor flows that can stimulate local businesses during the tournament period and in years of follow up bookings.
