Oviedo’s Winterfest returned to Center Lake Park on Saturday with a daylong lineup of holiday themed activities aimed at families with children. The celebration opened at 10 a.m. and ran through 4 p.m. at 299 Center Lake Lane, with wristbands required for rides and attractions available for $25 on Eventbrite.com. Organizers emphasized that wristbands covered access to the mechanical and inflatable attractions while general attendance and many activities remained open to all.

Attendees moved among a broad program of attractions that included the Jingle Bell Run and a Build a Bear station, earlier registration required for those events through the ticket section. Children could enjoy a coloring station, caricatures, and the opportunity to paint a police car with the Oviedo Police Community Outreach team. The lineup also featured Holiday Bingo, a giant snow maze, a collection of themed inflatables including a gingerbread bounce house, a giant Santa bounce house sponsored by Dentistry for Children, a 75 foot gingerbread trampoline, a Christmas tree bounce house, the Mt Everest Climb n Slide, and a gingerbread house slide. Pictures with Santa, cookies and beverages provided by HCA Oviedo Medical Center, food trucks and a selection of holiday cocktails rounded out the festivities.

Local sponsors played visible roles in underwriting attractions and activities, with A Budget Tree Services sponsoring the Jingle Bell Run, ReMax Realtors Scott Garrison and Diana Sacoto sponsoring Build a Bear, and Cool Today sponsoring Holiday Bingo. Those public private partnerships reduced direct costs to the city and provided marketing exposure for small businesses and health providers during a high traffic community event.

For Seminole County residents, Winterfest offered an affordable seasonal outing that combined civic engagement with commerce. Wristband pricing allowed families to self select paid entertainment while maintaining open access to photos with Santa and community tables. Events like Winterfest serve both as social infrastructure and a modest economic stimulus for local vendors and sponsors during the holiday period, reinforcing Oviedo’s strategy of family focused public programming at Center Lake Park.
