Seminole County Seniors Can Apply for $10,000 STEM Scholarships
Altamonte Springs Science Incubator scholarships of up to $10,000 are open to Seminole County high school seniors pursuing STEM, with materials due April 17.

Up to $10,000 is on the table for Seminole County high school seniors with a passion for STEM, through a scholarship program backed by AdventHealth Altamonte and the Freeman family that is currently accepting applications.
The Altamonte Springs Science Incubator, known as AS2I, is offering the awards to students enrolled in Seminole County Public Schools who want to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, or math. The City of Altamonte Springs developed the program in collaboration with those partners, and the SCPS scholarship page describes the goal as giving students funds "to explore and develop careers in STEM fields." The program targets students who, in SCPS's own words, "exemplify a passion for innovating a better world for future generations."
Eligible seniors must submit application materials by April 17. The exact application portal has not been publicly specified in program announcements, so students should check with their school counselor or the SCPS scholarships page for submission details.
The AS2I scholarship is separate from the broader slate of awards managed by the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools, which is on track to award more than 45 scholarships to the Class of 2026 this spring, drawing recipients from all 10 SCPS high schools. The Foundation runs its scholarships through the FSCPS AwardSpring platform, with its own application deadline of March 17, 2026, now passed. Recipients of those Foundation awards will be notified by email between April 10 and April 30, with scholarship funds distributed between July 1, 2026, and May 31, 2027, upon proof of college enrollment.
Seniors who receive any scholarship, including an AS2I award, should log the honor in the SCPS Senior Scholarship Report on ePathways by uploading a photo or screenshot of the award letter, certificate, or confirmation email. SCPS notes that Bright Futures awards should not be submitted through that same report.
The Foundation can be reached at 407-320-0180 for general scholarship questions.
