Hadestown at DECC Postponed by Winter Storm, Rescheduled for October
Hadestown's March 16 DECC Symphony Hall performance was scrapped by a Midwest winter storm; the Tony-winning musical is now rescheduled for October 19.

A Midwest winter storm that battered the region March 12–15 forced DECC Symphony Hall to postpone its Monday evening performance of Hadestown, the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical, with the show now rescheduled for Monday, October 19, 2026.
DECC officials cited hazardous travel conditions and travel restrictions as the reason for the cancellation, announcing the news early Monday morning, March 16, before ticketholders made the trip to Duluth. The postponement was part of a broader storm fallout that had already knocked out other local events, including a Jeff Foxworthy comedy show planned for Friday, March 13, at the same venue.
Hadestown, created by Anaïs Mitchell, intertwines the mythic love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone in a journey to the underworld and back. The North American touring production, which features cast members Nickolaus Colón, Jose Contreras, and Hawa Kamara, had been slated as part of the 2025–2026 Broadway at the DECC season.

Ticketholders do not need to exchange or reissue their tickets. All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the October 19 date, and DECC apologized for the inconvenience to the many patrons who had been anticipating the show. Anyone with additional questions about their tickets can reach out directly to the DECC box office.
The rescheduled October date keeps Hadestown within the current Broadway at the DECC season. The production's North American tour extends to other venues as well, including a run at the Lied Center in Lincoln as part of the 2025–26 Broadway season.
