Missing Moorhead woman linked to mother’s unsolved Duluth case

Moorhead authorities were asking for help finding 35-year-old Stephanie St. Clair, who was last seen June 6 at her residence in the 800 block of 2 Ave. N. She was described as 5-foot-3, 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. Her disappearance carried added urgency because she is the daughter of Sheila St. Clair, the Duluth woman who has been missing since 2015.

A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension missing-person bulletin says Sheila St. Clair was last seen in Duluth on Aug. 15, 2015, and that up to a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to her location. The bulletin lists her as born May 19, 1967, female, American Indian, 5-foot-4, 117 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and says anyone with information should contact the Duluth Police Department at 218-730-5050.

The older case has remained visible in Duluth for years. A remembrance held there on Sept. 27, 2025, marked 10 years since Sheila St. Clair disappeared, showing how long the search had gone on without answers. Another missing-person database says Sheila was believed to have been traveling to White Earth when she vanished and had previously traveled to the Red Cliff, Wisconsin area.

A post excerpt tied to Stephanie St. Clair’s case said she suffers from unspecified health issues, adding to the concern around her disappearance.
