Bay Shore Pep Boys Employee Indicted for Stealing $82K in Tires
A Hempstead man created 38 fake customer orders to steal $82K in tires from the Bay Shore Pep Boys where he worked as assistant service manager.

Milton Blaylock, 27, of Hempstead was indicted on second-degree grand larceny charges after prosecutors said he stole approximately $82,000 worth of tires from the Pep Boys store in Bay Shore where he had worked as an assistant service manager for about three years, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced Friday.
Prosecutors allege the scheme ran from August through November 2025, during which Blaylock created approximately 38 orders for fictitious customers to move new tires through the store's ordering system. He then removed the tires from inventory without authorization from the company, according to prosecutors.
The alleged theft came to light when Pep Boys' loss prevention team discovered irregularities and reported the suspected theft to law enforcement. Blaylock was arrested on March 19 and arraigned the following day before Acting Supreme Court Justice Anthony Senft, who released him under supervised conditions.
Second-degree grand larceny is a Class C felony. If convicted, Blaylock faces a maximum indeterminate sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison, prosecutors said. He is scheduled to return to court on April 15.
