REV Entertainment Purchases Long Island Ducks; Club to Remain in Central Islip
REV Entertainment purchased the Long Island Ducks; the team will remain in Central Islip at Fairfield Properties Ballpark, preserving local baseball and continuity.

REV Entertainment announced it has purchased the Long Island Ducks, and the club will continue to play at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip. The acquisition keeps the Ducks in place and preserves front-office continuity while marking an expansion of REV’s regional sports holdings.
REV Entertainment described itself in its announcement as "the official sports and entertainment company of the Texas Rangers." Sean Decker, president of REV Entertainment, said, "We’re proud to welcome the Long Island Ducks into the REV family. Frank Boulton has built something truly special on Long Island. Our responsibility is to honor that legacy, build upon the foundation he established, and continue delivering an affordable, family-friendly experience while positioning the Ducks for long-term success." Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
Long Island ownership will shift from founding owner Frank Boulton to REV, with Boulton moving into an advisory role. Boulton, who founded the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in 1998 and launched the Ducks in 2000, framed the move as stewardship of a local institution: "I have always viewed my ownership of the Long Island Ducks as a public trust, and any successor had to be in lockstep with that belief. REV Entertainment has that commitment and is the right organization to guide the Ducks into the future and keep QuackerJack dancing on the dugout tops for many years to come. I am grateful to the fans, friends, sponsors and entire Long Island community for their support for 25 incredible seasons of Ducks baseball and am confident it will only get better as we enter the next 25!" A Newsday photo caption used the alternate mascot spelling "Quacker Jack" and credited Daniel De Mato for the image.
Michael Pfaff will remain president and chief business officer and continue to lead the Ducks’ front office, providing operational continuity for ticketing, promotions, and community partnerships. The Ducks are a four-time Atlantic League champion, with titles in 2004, 2012, 2013 and 2019, and are the league’s all-time leader in wins and attendance. Local reporting notes the Ducks have sold out 721 games, drawn more than 49 million fans, and that the Atlantic League helped send more than 1,450 players to Major League organizations during Boulton’s tenure.
REV’s announcement places the Ducks alongside other clubs in the company’s portfolio, including the Cleburne Railroaders and Kane County Cougars in the American Association, the Schaumburg Boomers in the Frontier League, and a listed "New Mexico Goatheads (East Coast Hockey League)" in the press release. REV’s divisions include REV Events, REV Sports Management, and REV Sports Marketing. Sporting context for the purchase notes REV manages Globe Life Field and holds investments in Minor League and MLB partner league teams.
For Central Islip, the immediate implications are largely continuity and stability: home games will remain at Fairfield Properties Ballpark, Pfaff will run day-to-day operations, and Boulton stays on as an adviser. Missing from the announcement are the financial terms of the sale, a closing date, any Atlantic League approval statement, and details on planned investments in the ballpark or local programming. Expect follow-up announcements on capital improvements, ticketing and the 2026 schedule as REV and Ducks leadership outline their plans for maintaining attendance and community engagement in Suffolk County.
